Transparent swing tags are eye catching and cheap to make. Here is how to make your own.
You will need:

Computer with design software
Inkjet printer
Pouch lamination machine with gloss lamination pouches
Sheet of inkjet OHP transparency film
Paper cutter or cutting knife or sharp scissors
Kimble/tagging gun with plastic connector
1.) Design your artwork on computer

Design considerations
Because the swing tag is see-through, I’ve decided to make it a bit longer (145mm/14.5cm) than what I originally wanted it to be (100mm/10cm). This is because I want to incorporate a barcode as well as the price. I do not want to stick a sticker on the back containing those details as it may take away from the aesthetics of the tag. Also make provision for where the hole will be punched for the connector to go through. I have made the height 3.3cm (33mm).
2.) Lay out the artwork and print it on the sheet of OHP transparency. Making sure to select the correct print options on your computer. Use “Transparencies” if your printer software has that option otherwise use a high resolution paper option.

3.) Laminate the printed sheet of OHP transparency using a gloss lamination pouch.

4.) Cut down to size

5.) Punch hole in swing tag using kimble/tagging gun. Even though the kimble/tagging gun needle head is sharp enough to punch a hole with, I prefer to use a punch to punch the hole with as its gives a cleaner hole. But I did not have a small enough punch to punch a hole that would hold the connector so I used the kimble/tagging gun needle point:

6.) Attach swing tag to garment using kimble/tagging gun

7.) Your garment is now ready for sale:
